Verify report integrity
Check the laboratory name, report number, issue date, applicant, manufacturer, signatures, and total page count. Ask for a complete readable file rather than selected pass pages. If authenticity or scope is unclear, request confirmation from the issuing laboratory through an appropriate channel.
Connect documents to production
The report must be tied to a controlled bill of materials and product specification. Changes to structure, component source, material, colorant, coating, or accessory may affect coverage. Require change notification and keep a revision history showing which evidence supports each production version.
