A quoted 40HQ loading quantity is an estimate until final cartons and a loading plan are verified. Outdoor playsets often use long, flat, or multi-carton packs, so theoretical CBM alone may overstate the practical quantity. Door dimensions, carton orientation, voids, mixed-SKU rules, weight distribution, and handling space all matter.
Start with verified pack data
- Carton count per set and the dimensions and gross weight of every carton.
- Whether cartons may be placed vertically, stacked, or loaded under heavier packs.
- Pallet, slip-sheet, corner-protector, and moisture-control requirements.
- Maximum carton weight and warehouse handling limits at destination.
Model mixed loads carefully
For mixed SKUs, allocate cartons by set rather than total pieces and check that every model remains complete. Loading software can provide a starting layout, but a trial stack or prior loading record is valuable for irregular packages. Reserve space for bracing and do not plan against the container’s last theoretical cubic centimeter.
Verify at loading
Use a container inspection checklist, record the container number and seal, count cartons by SKU, photograph stages of the load, and document any damaged or reworked cartons. Confirm that labels are visible where needed and that heavy cartons cannot crush lighter ones.
The purchase order should state whether quantity is fixed by sets, cartons, weight, or practical container capacity. Final booking decisions must use the carrier’s current limits and the approved packaging—not a generic 40HQ capacity assumption.
